AAFES RECALL  NO. 10-043
RELEASE DATE:
24 June 2010
SUBJECT: QA HAZARDOUS RECALL – SEVEN CRIB MANUFACTURERS ANNOUNCE RECALLS TO REPAIR CRIBS DUE TO ENTRAPMENT, SUFFOCATION AND FALL HAZARDS

SCOPE: WORLDWIDE

Seven manufacturers are announcing recalls for their drop-side and fixed-side cribs related to entrapment, suffocation and fall hazards in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

HAZARDS: The crib’s side can malfunction, detach or otherwise fail, causing part of the side to fall out of position, creating a space into which an infant or toddler can roll and become wedged or entrapped. Children can also fall out of the crib. Drop-side crib incidents can also occur due to incorrect assembly or age-related wear and tear.

MANUFACTURERS & PRODUCTS: Refere to following links to retrive full recall message for each manufacturer and its affected cribs. Units manufactured between 2000 and 2009 are affected. AAFES sold some modes from Delta and Evenflo through either our retail stores or e-commerce. Other supplier names are provided as a customer service.
